Spend the $10.
figure your mileage now and change the filter and figure it again thats the only way to be sure anything else is pure conjecture. unless you flow test the suspect airfilter against a new one also different brands flow and filter differently so do keep that in mind shopping a new filter.
Just spend the few bucks and change it.
i would have looked at it BEFORE i bought car(to get a free one) cleanair ilter is always an improvement....maybe 1 to 2 mpg...good luck good driving habits and correct tire pressure will also help...and don't %26quot;hot rod%26quot; it.
this answer may sound weird you make decision pinch your nose open mouth to breath cover half your mouth and breath again cover most of mouth and breath you know the difference by a filter ps dont pass out trying this
you will notice a difference in gas mileage when you change it, how much?, I couldn't say for sure.
