How do you take the engine cover off of a 2007 Jetta? I need to change the air filter with a K&N, but can't.

I don't want to break the cover trying to get it off. I also don't want to have to take it to the dealership.

I think it just pops off, but I don't want to do that unless I know for sure.

the plastic cover just pulls up. do not put the k%26amp;n filter in it, until its out of warranty. unless you like to keep buying mass air flow meters that the k%26amp;n filters can and will damage. but, hey... do what you want.

K%26amp;N's let too many dirt particles through. Put it back in the box and return it to the vendor. You will soon find the MAF dirty.
it just pops off on mine but dont put a k%26amp;n in it it lets way to much dirt particles through
